Risks involving scar surgery

Risks in scar removal surgery have the same impact as in other surgical procedures where patient is submitted to anesthesia. They can change according to the different procedures chosen by your plastic surgeon, but you will be informed before the surgery takes place about the different procedures you will be submitted and their risks.
Here is a list of some risks involved in a scar surgery. Please remember this is just a guideline and patients don’t experience necessarily all the risks in the same surgery, some might experience and some don’t.

If you aren’t sufficient clear about the risks be sure to ask your surgeon all the details involved in your specific surgery. Surgery may be done in your surgeon’s office or in a hospital so all the environment is prepared for any kind of complication and surgical intervention. Mortality rates for this type of surgery are very very low.
